Basketball is a game that requires a lightning reaction, the ability to accurately and quickly assess the situation on the playing field and make the right tactical decision. But all this is simply impossible without proper lighting. And if the bright daylight on the street copes with its task, in low light without additional equipment simply cannot do.
Features of basketball court lighting
In our project, we consider a standard playground measuring 17x30 meters (purely play area without taking into account the out zone - 15X28 m). For such territory, four poles on which it is necessary to place on two or three searchlights (depending on the power of fixtures) is enough.
It is important to ensure an average illuminance of not less than 75 lux with a uniformity of 0.5, with a coefficient of glare (GR) should not exceed 55. Also, with these light parameters, it is necessary to ensure that the entire light field is illuminated evenly .
LED field lighting: advantages
The use of LED lights has become a common, almost widespread practice in the street and industrial lighting. There are several explanations for this:

- Durability and possibility of replacement of separate blocks of light-emitting diodes;
